CFA Piles

Print PDF

The CFA pile is a non or semi-displacement pile used where fast vibration free installation is required in fair ground condition. The pile is drilled into ground using a continuous flight auger. CFA pile shafts are normally formed from Concrete or Sand cement mix injected under pressure through the auger’s hollow stem during withdrawn. The grout or concrete pressure is maintained during auger withdrawal exerting a lateral pressure on the surrounding soils. After concrete placing, a reinforced cage is vibrated and installed into fresh grout or concrete column. CFA Piles are suitable in sandy formations.  Limited socketing into HW & MW rock formations can provide a relatively high  pile service loads. Our production is limited to 25.0m piles depth 900mm Diameter.
